At Johnswell National School, we have three mainstream classrooms. This year (2025/2026), the junior room, under the care of Mrs. Cleere, will consist of Junior and Senior Infants and First Class. The middle room, taught by Ms. Quirke, will accommodate 2nd, 3rd, and 4th classes. Mrs. Walker oversees the senior room, comprising 5th and 6th classes. Additionally, Mrs. Maher serves as our Special Education Teacher within the framework set by the Board Of Management.

The current Board Of Management at Johnswell National School has been serving since February 2020, with a term of office lasting four years. The staff members include: Mr. Ray Brophy, Chairperson; Mrs. Patricia Walker, Principal and Secretary; Mrs. Ann Brennan, Treasurer; Ms. Laura Quirke, Teacher Representative; Mrs. Elaine Costello, Parents Representative; Fr. Ray Dempsey; Mr. Chris Coffey, Parents Representative; and Mr. Pat Murphy, Community Representative.

The Parent's Council Committee members at Johnswell National School, who work collaboratively with the Board of Management, are: Mrs. Catherine Dowling, Mrs. Julia Coffey, Mr. Martin O'Shea, Mrs. Georgina O'Shea, and Ms. Sorcha Doyle, representing the diverse staff members of the school.
